US Embassy Deputy Chief of Mission Jason Meeks and USAID Nepal Deputy Mission Director Karen Welch visit TIO

Nepal Eye Program/Tilganga Institute of Ophthalmology(NEP/ TIO) is honored to welcome Deputy Chief of Mission Jason Meeks from the US Embassy, Kathmandu, and Deputy Mission Director, Karen Welch from USAID Nepal for their short visit to NEP/ TIO facilities today. They observed the entire departments and services of NEP/TIO followed by a meeting with Prof. Dr. Sanduk Ruit and the Executive team of NEP/ TIO. Since 2003, through multiple USAID American Schools and Hospitals Abroad and USAID Childhood Blindness Programs, United States Government has supported NEP/ TIO to contribute to improved eye health services in Nepal, particularly for marginalized communities and HCP cure blindness has always facilitated bringing those funds to TIO.
