District Community Eye Centre, Sindhu

The District Community Eye Centre, Sindhu is situated in Sangachokgadi Municipality Ward No 5 Chautara. It commenced its operation from March 2004 with the agreement between TIO and the Nepal Red Cross Society district chapter Sindhupalchowk with the financial support of the Fred Hollows Foundation, (FHF), Austrailia.

• Vision and Refraction  
• Ophthalmic Investigations:  Intra Ocular pressure (IOP) measurement, Lacrimal Passage examinations, Schirmer's test.
• Medicine and Spectacles dispensing  
• Extra Ocular Foreign Body Removal
• Minor Surgical Procedures

Outreach Activities
This eye centre conduct various School Screening Eye Camp , Community Screening Eye Camp as outreach program in community. 

This DCEC also provide basic eye care training programs to school teachers, FCHVs, Health workers.
