A mural entitled “Lives transformed through miracle of sight” painted on the external wall of the premises of Tilganga Institute of Ophthalmology was unveiled jointly today by H.E. Ambassador Felicity Volk of Australia to Nepal and by Dr. Reeta Gurung, CEO of TIO.
The art portrays and honors the tireless hard work of the staff of TIO for around the past three decades toward the prevention and control of blindness in Nepal and beyond. The key message depicted in the creation is that with treatment, many forms of blindness are avoidable. The work was jointly commissioned in July 2022 by Relative Nepal and Sarangi Social Enterprises with support from Australian Embassy, Nepal.
