The objective is to provide the residents of Nepal and Bhutan the opportunity to access international and national ophthalmology experts and provide them with a course similar to those available for residents in the United States and other parts of the world.

National as well as International faculties are providing sessions on Neuro-ophthalmology, Clinical Optics, Corneal Surgery, Retina, Ophthalmic Genetics, Pediatric Ophthalmology, Uveitis, Ocular Oncology, etc. This resident review course was successfully delivered earlier this year in Ghana and Ethiopia as well.

This academic course will take place in person for 11 ophthalmology residency programs in Nepal and Bhutan, with a cumulative total of 81 ophthalmology residents. The registration is being covered and at no charge for all the residents.

HCP Cureblindness is a U.S. International NGO working to eliminate unnecessary blindness in Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa and a Registered NGO with the Social Welfare Council in Nepal (www.cureblindness.org).
