Free Surgical Eye Camp in Nijgadh Community Eye Hospital

Free surgical eye camp has been organized in Nijgadh Tilganga Community Eye Hospital (under construction) from 30th November to 2nd December 2022. A team led by senior ophthalmologist Dr. Indira Paudel examined and treated 1893 people and performed 378 cataract surgeries. From 27th November to 1st December, eye examination and cataract selection camps were conducted in different places of Bara, Sarlai and Rautahat Districts. Tilganga Institute of Ophthalmology has conducted the camp in coordination with Nepal Red Cross Society, Nijgadh Primary Health Center, Nijgadh Municipality and with financial support from the Fred Hollows Foundation Australia.
