ACU supporting Retinoblastoma patients through Open Eyes Nepal

We are thankful to Australian Catholic University (ACU), Australia for your continuous support of providing custom-fit prosthesis support to Retinoblastoma patients through Open Eyes Nepal since December 2022. From January to October 2024, 54 patients has been provided with treatment and 17 custom-fit prosthetic eyes has been fitted. On 18th November, renewal of MoU with Open Eyes Nepal (OEN) and Cheque handover from Open Eyes Nepal to Tilganga Institute of Ophthalmology for financial services to Retinoblastoma patients. Dr. Purnima Rajkarnikar Sthapait (Head, Ocular Oncology, Oculoplastic and Prosthetic Department) & President, Open Eyes Nepal took the lead along with its General Secretary Mr. Rabin Shrestha . Delegates from Australian Catholic University were present. They are-Ms Bronwyn Bartsch- Director Global Engagement, Mr Marcelo Credidido- Asso Director- Global marketing and recruitment, Mr Peter Hawke- Senior Manager- Partnership, & Ms Anushka Shrestha- Country representative of ACU.
