MoU signed between NEP/TIO and KMC
Nepal Eye Program/Tilganga Institute of Ophthalmology and Kathmandu Medical College signed an MoU for the prevention of childhood blindness due to Retinopathy of Prematurity (ROP), as well as service for pediatric patients requiring Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), Pediatrics Intensive Care Unit (PICU), Pediatric wards, and investigations available in the hospital. The MoU was signed by NEP/TIO Chief Operating Officer Pitamber Adhikari and KMC Chief Administrative Officer Prem Prakash Thapa in the CME session on sensitization of Retinopathy of Prematurity (ROP), which is jointly hosted by KMC and NEP/TIO.
In the CME, speakers were Dr. Srijana Adhikari Dr. Eli Pradhan from TIO, and Dr. Sunil Raja Manandhar from KMC, highlighting the importance of early screening and treatment to prevent childhood blindness
