HCP Cureblindness and Nepal Eye Program/Tilganga Institute of Ophthalmology hosted its first Asia Regional Partner Summit on 6th & 7th December in Kathmandu, Nepal. The summit objective was to bring partners together to discuss Cataract Services, Residency Training, Research and Fellowships in order to learn from each other and sync on 2023 program activities. There was also time dedicated to reviewing prominent cross-cutting issues including Gender Equity and Social Inclusion (GESI), ongoing quality improvement and climate change. Over 30 participants were in attendance from Nepal, India, Bhutan, USA, Ghana and Ethiopia. Several presentations were delivered by staff members from HCP Cureblindness, Tilganga and partner hospitals in Bhutan and India. It was deemed a great success as several cross collaborations resulted from the workshop. CEO, Dr. Reeta Gurung said she was pleasantly surprised by the workshop and hopes to replicate it in years to come. #tilganga #tilgangainstituteofophthalmology #cureblindness #hcpcureblindness
