Best Cornea Surgeons awarded during Post NOSCON and NCCCRS Workshop at TIO

Post- Nepal Ophthalmic Society Conference (NOSCON), Nepal Cornea Cataract and Refractive Surgeon Society (NCCRS)'s AGM & Eye Banking and Cornea Workshop was organized at Nepal Eye Program-Tilganga Institute of Ophthalmology on 1st of December 2024. Dr. Leena Bajracharya, Medical Director of Nepal Eye bank welcomed the participants while COO Pitamber Adhikari shared Opening Remarks. The senior Manager of Shroff Charity Eye Hospital Delhi, India Ms. Rakhi Nathawat shared her remarks on Eye Banking and role of Eye Bankers & Surgeons in Nepal and India. Likewise, Prof. Dr. Meenu Chaudhary shared special remarks on NCCRS Workshop and Prof. Dr. Goeff Tabin (Cure Blindness Project, USA) presented significant remarks during the occasion. Mr. Shankha Narayan Twayana (Manager, Nepal Eye Bank) updated about Eye banking in Nepal followed by which recognition and felicitation was offered to Leading Cornea Surgeons and Leading Eye Banker. Similarly, live demonstration was performed during Refresher Training to Eye Donation Technicians at Smart Classroom. Additionally, Dr. Rachana Rana presented on the topic Blood Borne Infectious Diseases as Pathogens & its control. Event was Supported by Tilganga Institute of Ophthalmology, Cure Blindness Project ,Nepal Ophthalmic Society, Sightlife, and Dr. Shroff’s Charity Eye Hospital.
