Oculoplastic, Lacrimal and Ocular Oncology Clinic were established in 2004. TIO have updated ocular oncology services that offer management of various eye and orbital tumors. Retinoblastoma management with Transpupillary thermotherapy, cryotherapy, periocular and intravitreal chemotherapy has been started which is a first of its kind in Nepal.
Maintaining vision by protection of an eyeball and the proper function of the orbital adenexa, as well as cosmetic to functioning eye and orbit, is its main function.
Patients with disfiguration of eye lids and orbit, vision threatening ocular conditions and ocular and orbital tumors visit this clinic. TIO has seen a significant increase in the number of patients being treated for orbital surgery.
The OPAL Clinic also offers cosmetic and aesthetic treatments for various problems such as facial lines and wrinkles and surgery for baggy eyelids and drooping eyebrows.
