The second MoU between Nepal Eye Program (Tilganga Institute of Ophthalmology) and NABIL Foundation

The Memorandum of Understanding has been renewed between Nepal Eye Program, Tilganga Institute of Ophthalmology (NEP/ TIO) and Nabil Foundation to provide financial support to patients seeking corneal transplantation. It is expected to benefit people deprived of sights due to a cornea problem who otherwise cannot afford the cornea transplant surgery.
Dr. Reeta Gurung (Chief Executive Officer) of Tilganga and Mr. Dayaram Gopal Agrawal (Chairman of Nabil Foundation) signed the MoU today on 25th September 2018 to this effect for coming 2 years. With the agreement in place, Nabil Foundation will be providing financial support to needy patients identified by Tilganga for a corneal transplant. This program running under the slogan “Sight for all with Tilganga Institute of Ophthalmology in collaboration with Nabil Foundation – Free Cornea Transplant service to Financially Deprived People”.
In the program, Prof. Dr. Sanduk Ruit (Executive Director), Mr. Yam Bahadur Mahat (Chief Operating Officer), Mr. Ram Chandra Khanal (Chief Financial Officer), Mr. Nabin Rai (Deputy Director Program), Mr. Shankha Twayana (Manager Nepal Eye Bank Division) from Tilganga and similarly Mr. Shambhu Prasad Poudyal (Chairman, Nabil Bank), Mr. Pratap Kumar Pathak (Board Member, Nabil Bank), Mr. Anil Kesari Shah (Chief Executive Office, Nabil Bank) Mr. Madhab Prasad Regmi (Company Secretary and Head Legal & Compliance) and also other management team members and staff members of the both organizations were present.
The first MOU was signed in March 2018.
